Strengthening Network

We actively strengthen the orangutan conservation network through collaboration at regional, national, and international levels. Together with our partners, we create a strong synergy to ensure that orangutan preservation efforts are effective and sustainable.

Collaboration at the National and Regional Levels

At the national level, FORINA is actively engaged in developing policies, campaigns, and advocacy programs that promote the protection of orangutans. By collaborating with various stakeholders, we strive to ensure that these policies genuinely reflect the real needs of conservation efforts on the ground. At the regional level, we collaborate with conservation forums and government bodies to develop conservation strategies tailored to local conditions. Meetings held in regions such as Aceh, North Sumatra, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, and East Kalimantan—where orangutan habitats are located—serve as vital platforms for discussing the challenges and opportunities in our efforts to protect these remarkable creatures.

Building Networks at the International Level

On an international scale, we foster connections with global institutions and organizations to share knowledge, technology, and resources. This collaboration aims to enhance the effectiveness of orangutan conservation in Indonesia, ensuring that best practices from around the world are effectively implemented here.

Forum-Based Activities

Our initiatives, including Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), aim to address pressing challenges such as human-orangutan conflict. These gatherings provide a valuable opportunity for stakeholders to come together, engage in open dialogue, share their insights, and collaboratively craft effective, participatory solutions. By strengthening networks at multiple levels, FORINA ensures that every step in orangutan conservation is carried out in an integrated manner, engaging all relevant stakeholders.
